Less chasing. More clarity.

Work changes hands.
The context shouldn't.

Handoffs

Pass it with the why

A handoff without context is a second conversation waiting to happen. Write the note as you pass, and it lands with the card.

That note becomes a permanent comment on the card — so in March, "why did this move?" is already answered.

Drift

See what's been sitting

Every card shows how long it has been on its current desk. Work can be well inside its deadline and still be quietly rotting.

Past a week it turns. One chip filters the board to just those — try it on the right.

Memory & privacy

Decisions, pinned. Private work, private.

Mark a pass note as a decision and it pins to the top of the card, so "what did we decide?" survives the scroll.

Cards on your own desk can be private: teammates see only that something is there, and how long you have held it.

Frequent questions

Does the Free plan expire?

No. Up to 3 people, no time limit, no credit card. It includes the whole core product: boards, passing, notes, decisions, screenshots and notifications. When you invite a 4th person, you'll be asked to upgrade to Team.

Can we use our own single sign-on?

Yes, on Business. Point WhoseDesk at any OpenID Connect provider — Okta, Entra, Google Workspace, Auth0 — and your directory decides who gets in. Turn on enforcement and it becomes the only way in: sign-in links, passwords and the Google button are all refused for your organisation, so removing someone from your directory removes them from here.

You prove you own a domain by publishing one DNS record before it routes anywhere, which is what stops anyone else claiming your company's address. Plain Google sign-in is on every plan, including Free — bring-your-own-provider is part of Business.

How do I pass a card to someone?

Drag it onto their column on the web, or tap the card and choose a person on mobile. Add a note as you pass and it lands with the card as a permanent comment. Passing is assigning — there is no separate "assignee" field to forget.

Can I keep a card private?

Yes — on your own desk, open the card and tick Private. Teammates, including admins, see only "Private" and how long you've held it: no title, notes or attachments. Private cards can't be passed until you make them visible again. If you leave the team they become visible and move to Unassigned, and the toggle tells you that before you use it.

How does billing count people?

Paid plans bill per active person. Deactivate someone and their seat stops billing immediately — seats track your real team, not your history. Team is $24 per month for five active people, then $6 for each additional person. Annual billing is $240 for five, then $60 per additional person.

Is there a phone app?

Yes — iOS and Android, plus the site itself works well on a phone; add it to your home screen. Long-press a card in the app to pass it.

How do I delete my data or close my account?

Email hello@whosedesk.app from your account address and we'll confirm and delete. This one stays a human process on purpose.
